COURSE AND NEW CLUBHOUSE NEWS

Last week we received an updated video animation from Altis, the clubhouse architects, depicting how the completed clubhouse will look, including the surrounding gardens and landscaping. Click below to view the video.
On the clubhouse site the erecting of trusses for the Event Centre pod is almost complete. The first sections are now being erected in front the dining areas.
On the lower ground level all the individual rooms are taking shape, and a number of internal walls have started to go up. Today the builders will be commencing the installation of air-con ducting.
On the course the new 16th green which is located on the old first fairway is nearing completion. The green has been sanded and the surrounds spread with a growing medium. Drainage is still being installed on the approach to the green, and the green side bunkers still require shaping, but with everything going well this green should be ready for turfing and seeding early next week.
An incredible amount of fill has been delivered to the old 18th tee to build up the new 15th green. This area has been raised about 2m from the level of the old tee. Shaping of this green has already been completed, so the installation of drainage and irrigation will be underway early next week.
APPOINTMENT OF CATERERS FOR NEW CLUBHOUSE

ANDREW CANNON APPOINTED AS COURSE SUPERINTENDENT
Following the resignation of Paul Keary, Andrew Cannon has been appointed as our new course superintendent. Andrew has worked at Strathfield Golf Club since October 2016 in the position of 2IC. Previous to joining Strathfield Golf Club, Andrew held the position of Course Superintendent at Campbelltown Golf Club for a number of years.
To assist Andrew in his new role, Peter Murphy has been appointed as 2IC. Peter has worked at Strathfield as a member of the green staff since February this year. He previously was a Senior Greenkeeper at Royal Sydney Golf Club.
We wish both Andrew and Peter the best of luck in their new roles, and are confident that they will provide us with a top class golf course.
